General d’Armee 2   Leave a comment

Preordered this from TFL and watched their videos. Only really played GdA one once after buying it. Felt a bit outdated so hopefully the new version will work better for me. Really did like the concept.

Bruce entertained us with Source of the Nile. It was okay and certainly lots of fun watching people get stampeded by elephants or attacked by Tribes. My guide got lost and killed one space out of port so I needed some help until I found a river. I would never have moved otherwise. Other than that my botanist did okay.

Test game of billhooks with Link.

We learnt that longbowmen are very deadly and can wipe out units of Knights easily. The French managed to survive the arrow storms and when Link ‘s French commander defeated my English Lord in a fight with a matched cavalry charge in the centre it was all over.

Watched some videos after and seems like we played it right.

Hope to play again.
