New samurai warrior monks from Fireforge games arrived.

Painted using citadel contrast paints.

Spray wraith bone white after assembly using plastic glue. I made 8 shot and 16 naginata . Next I went over the white areas which were hoods and trousers plus arms and waist and wrist bands with contrast white. Faces in flesh contrast paint. Wood use wild wood contrast . Metal use army painter contrast broadsword. Leather pouches and sandal soles using leather brown.
For the main colour scheme which is the warrior monks jacket I chose either yellow using contrast sun yellow or a mix of this with blood angel red to make orange.
Finally for teeth I used white then applied contrast skeleton brown .
For these bases I applied the same scatter mix I used on all my samurai which is based on the games workshop base similar to sandy ground with tufts applied. The bases I chose were square to use in massed battles but singly based for skirmish games if need arises. For tufts I used a brighter green and a sun burnt brown to try and capture the theme of Japan but remain closer to my early figures.
I thought this new range look quite good . Simple enough to assemble with a few fixed poses and good to form a massed unit . Also they are fairly similar in size to my original Perry samurai so they is good too . These warriors will be useful to field on either side in a samurai battle .
