Thought it might be nice to have some Isengard orcs to go with my Uruk Hai and these two will mark out the unit as for Saruman.

Links new blood angels lacked the anti tank power to defeat the knights in their first attempt.

In this scenario from the GW supplement Theodred has rushed to secure the ford with a small force. A mix of Uruk hai and dunlendings have been sent by Saruman to destroy the Rohirrim. Link played Rohan.

If Theodred can hold a support force of infantry led by a captain are moving up from the table edge in support. Finally a troop of horse led by elf helm are also on their way arriving around turn six determined by a dice roll .

The evil team decided to lure Theodred who must charge if he can off the ford on turn 1 with his men. They planned to overwhelm them in combat . Meanwhile they sent a force of warg riders and scouts with a drum off to the north aiming to swim the deep fast flowing river Isen .

Theodred won the first round of combat at the cost of two might and soon had killed the first Uruk hai captain. The hill man chief had to move forward in support of the banner .

The warg riders made it across but at the cost of a few riders . Worse still over half the scouts drowned . Meanwhile the captain called a heroic march and hit his shield wall onto the Ford whilst his archers picked off those who made it across the river. No sign yet of the relief force of cavalry.

Elfhelm and his cavalry arrive just in the nick of time to save the Rohan infantry on their way arriving eastern side from the warg riders .

The Rohan banner falls in the melee as the Rohan warriors are surrounded by the Uruk and Dunlendings. However Theodred and the Rohan Captain prove too strong ! Also the riders of Rohan are now in range of their Prince to gain the plus one fight value which proves useful.

Finally the evil forces are smashed with all their leaders slain and too few models left alive to secure either the ford or the eastern table edge victory is awarded to Rohan !
